Sean joined Houseal Lavigne Associates in 2016 after receiving a Master of Urban Planning at the University of Kansas. His current primary focus is on community development through housing and general market research and analysis. He is also very interested in the physical representation of the urban environment through graphic representations and urban design techniques.
For his graduate degree, Sean specialized in housing and community development as well as urban design. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies form the University of Kansas. He coupled his desire to promote public knowledge, awareness, and input from his journalism background with the necessity for viability and interaction in the built form from his architecture background to form his passion for urban planning.
He used this passion in his work with organizations in the Kansas City area including Community Housing of Wyandotte County, the Mid-America Regional Council, and Eco Abet. During his time at these organizations, he Sean created and contributed to several projects of varying scales through market research, economic analysis, and graphics creation.
