22nd Street/Butterfield Road Corridor Plan

Oak Brook’s 22nd Street Corridor is well known as one of the Chicago Region’s most successful retail, dining, entertainment, and office destinations. Despite this, the Corridor is showing its age as newer desirable development passes over the Village to locate further to the west. The Village of Oak Brook retained Houseal Lavigne Associates to develop a 22nd Street/Butterfield Road Corridor Plan to revitalize the Corridor and maintain its position as a regional destination over the next thirty years. The Corridor Plan identifies catalyst sites for new development, expansion and creative redevelopment strategies for national tenants and international shopping center developers, regional and local transportation improvements (including new highway interchange solutions), and a new beautification program to clearly establish the Corridor’s character, presence, and image.
