Advocate Oak Lawn Christ Advocate

Houseal Lavigne Associates was jointly engaged by the Village of Oak Lawn and Advocate Hospital to assess the community and economic impact of the proposed $600 million hospital expansion on the Oak Lawn community. Working cooperatively with Village staff and officials and Advocate’s professional design team, Houseal Lavigne Associates prepared plans, recommendations, and strategies to address issues related to campus design and aesthetics, pedestrian amenities and circulation, wayfinding and streetscape, building placement and orientation, signage, traffic and parking, utility location and visual impact, and more. The result was a unanimously approved redesigned hospital campus plan that accommodated the needs of the institution while addressing and mitigating the concerns of the community and adjacent neighborhoods.
